Ratificarea de către Norvegia a Convenției de la Haga din 1996 va întări cooperarea cu alte state în disputele parentale transfrontaliere și în cazurile privind protecția copiilor. Directoratul Norvegian pentru Copii, Tineret și Familie este desemnat drept Autoritatea Centrală a Convenției în Norvegia. Convenția va intra în vigoare la 1 iulie 2016.

The Norwegian Ambassador participated, on March 22, in a high-level debate in the Romanian Parliament on the Minimum Package of Services for children and their families, a result of a project funded by Norway. In Romania, 48.5% of children are exposed to poverty and risk of exclusion, 17.4% are abandoning school, and one child out of three is leaving school in rural areas.
