“Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, Leymah Gbowee and Tawakkul Karman are each in their own right worthy winners of the Nobel Peace Prize. The Government welcomes the award of this year’s prize to these three women. It is recognition of women’s non-violent efforts to promote peace and democracy,” said Norwegian Foreign Minister Jonas Gahr Støre.

Two production halls and two R&D centers have been put up in Vidra, a village just outside Bucharest, with support from a grant from Norway worth of 1,4 million EUR in co-financing. The initiative belongs to the Romanian and Norwegian companies UTTIS Industries and EFD Induction respectively.

On October 13, Norwegian companies with operations in Romania participated in the already traditional NORTEAM Meeting organized by the Norwegian Embassy, in Bucharest.
