STX OSV Braila SA – a new name for the company

Starting November 2010, the STX Group group is listed on the Singapore Stock Exchange. With the same date, the name of the group was changed from STX Norway Offshore into STX OSV (Offshore & Specialized Vessels). Consequently, the name of the shipyard in Braila is now STX OSV Braila.
STX OSV remains the same important builder of offshore and specialized vessels, used for marine oil platforms and in the oil services industry. Fishing & coastal guard vessels, icebreakers and liquid gas transport vessels are in the group's portfolio as well. At the moment, STX OSV includes 9 shipyards: 5 in Norway, 1 in Brazil, 1 in Vietnam and 2 in Romania (Braila and Tulcea).
