The company's global carbon team is closely following the developments of CO2 trading in the country. Through its trading floors in Dusseldorf and Oslo, Statkraft is a major player on the European energy exchanges. With almost two centuries of experience in liberalized energy markets, Statkraft has the ability to offer tailor made energy deliveries and flexible delivery structures to its counterparts.
Together with AFEER, the Romanian Association of Energy Traders, Statkraft is currently participating in an effort to allow foreign companies to become members at OPCOM, the Romanian regulated day-ahead power market. This will be a next important step of Romanian market opening and integration into the EU internal energy market.
The Romanian representatives of Statkraft were present at the E-world in Essen one of Europe's leading trade shows for the energy and water industry between 8-10 February 2011.
